Said future Alberta Premier Jason Kenney of Justin (Mr. Dress-up) Trudeau last May:
“… He doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. This guy is an empty trust-fund millionaire who has the political depth of a finger bowl … “
Mr. Dress-up and his fellow to-the-silver-spoo- born Finance Minister, Bill (Mortimer) Morneau – displayed a natural fumble-bumery handling the Kinder Morgan pipeline file. From the Federal Court of Appeal, they planned for the best and for the worst they didn’t have a clue. The worst happened – the Court ruled unanimously against the two silver spoon boys. Mr. Dress-up poured on more anodyne – Mortimer looked – not unusually – as if the Court had blind-sided him with a west coast two by four.
“Anodyne” – Google – adjective: not likely to provoke dissent or offense; inoffensive, often deliberately so – noun: a painkilling drug or medicine.
